Tutorial: API key + Account Manager

Generate an API key on the website first, then add the account in JDownloader 2—the flow matches the published step-by-step guide (about a minute or two).

Open Profile · generate API key

1

Create your API key

Sign in, open My Account, find the “API access (download clients)” section, click Generate new key, and copy it. Keep it private.

2

Open Account Manager

In JDownloader 2, open the Settings tab and choose Account Manager in the left sidebar.

3

Add your account

Click + Add at the bottom. In “Choose a Hoster”, type st or storage-portal and pick storage-portal.com (your site host: storage-portal.com). Paste the API key into the login field and save—the status should read Account is OK.

4

Download with LinkGrabber

Copy a file URL in your browser; JD2 picks it up in LinkGrabber. Right-click the entry and choose Start Downloads to pull the file using your OK TOOLS traffic at high speed.

Why use this integration?

  • Automation: fewer trips to the website to generate links by hand.
  • Batching: queue hundreds of links at once.
  • Resume support: pause and continue large downloads easily.
  • Bandwidth: make better use of your connection speed.

JDownloader 2 and OK TOOLS

storage-portal.com is listed as a supported account type in JDownloader 2. After you add the account with your profile API key, use LinkGrabber on the desktop client—no browser extension required.

This matches the public guide: the key authenticates the client; downloads consume your OK TOOLS traffic quota.
